In inquiry we investigated how people have different likes and dislikes.

We researched about tastebuds.

We researched some of the different pizza company.

We made a pizza company of our own.

Spring fling

What I did in the holidays

Last Friday I biked to the beach.I went with my mum and my sister.We

 went to the beach because it was a sunny day.First I ran 

strait to the water.When I got there the water freezed my feet and I could see

my mum laughing with my sister.The water looked really salty.When we went swimming I 

opened my eyes and we swam to the deep bit where I couldn't touch the bottom. After that I 

played on the monkey 

bars and the seesaw with my sister.I fell off the seesaw and landed on my face.The wood in the 

playground was sharp and I had little holes in my feet.Before we left,my sister my mum 

and I 

got an icecream.

I had a chocolate flavoured icecream.

After I felt like I had just ran a marathon.

My mum and my sister felt tired.

Term3: gymnastics

Term3 value:perseverance

  

I chose this shape because when you persevere you feel good with yourself.

My goal this term is to persevere with my remainders in maths because I need to work on getting the answer faster.

In reading we have been using the notabilaty app to learn about our inquiry.

First we photographed the text.Then we read it with our reading buddy.When we had finished reading,we highlighted words that we didn't know or we weren't sure about.In class we talked about

our highlighted ideas and worked out there meaning.

Sometimes we did a word study or some research into one of the questions we came up with.

Here are some examples.

Something I think I did well was understanding the words.

Something I need to work on is read in time with my buddy.

Term 3 inquiry

In inquiry Harper and I studied the planet Jupiter.

We presented our project to the class.We did a diorama.

An interesting fact that we found out was...that Jupiter was named after the King of Roman gods.

Something I did was that I got lots of information.

Something I would do differently next time is maybe use a different technique to present it.

Something I did well was I kept my eyes on the ball.

WALA:where sea creatures and plants live and how they have adapted to their environment.

Maths Term 2

WALT:use a range of strategies to solve multiplication and division problems.

NEXT STEP:

Use known facts to solve multiplication and division problems (1-10 timetables) without help.

Writing T2 Descriptions.

WALT:use the description bubble and our senses to make descriptions more detailed.

Something I did well was how I use my adjectives.

Something I am working on is to read in sink with my reading buddy.

Road safety project

WALA:what actions people have to take to keep themselves safe.

The group each created a poster on a road safety question they wanted to research. They put their posters together into an Explain Everything video and showed the rest of the class.

Something I did well was researching why we have cones outside the school.

Something I need to work on is getting a bit more information to make it more interesting.
